First Aid
Broken Tooth
1. Stay Calm.
2. Place cold wet gauze and pressure over the area of bleeding.
3. Collect the pieces of the broken tooth. Touch only the “chewing surfaces” of the tooth.
4. Place the pieces of tooth in saliva, saline solution, or milk.
5. Call us immediately!
Advanced Technology
1. Stay calm.
2. Place cold wet gauze and pressure over the area of bleeding.
3. Collect the tooth. Avoid touching the root of the tooth, touch only the “chewing surfaces” of the tooth.
4. Place the tooth back in the empty tooth socket to preserve the root. Place gauze over the crown of the tooth and have the person bite down to control the bleeding.
***If choking is a hazard, DO NOT place the tooth back in the socket.
5. If it is not possible to put the tooth back in the socket, store the tooth in saliva, saline solution, or milk.
6. Use ice packs to manage the swelling.
7. Call us immediately!
